The planned reconstruction of the station square with the construction of the first passenger terminal of the airport is located on the existing site of the airport complex, while the construction of the new passenger terminal is planned on the territory with old buildings to be demolished.

The area of ​​the plot allocated for lease is 276.38 hectares. This plot is within the boundaries of the red lines of the streets. Underground engineering networks run through the territory of the design site and adjacent to it: pressure sewerage, communication networks; demolition of buildings and structures falling within the area of ​​construction of the new passenger terminal of the airport is envisaged. Residential areas and public green spaces are located on adjacent territories.

The passenger terminal is designed as a three-story building with a height of 15 meters. Two main entrances to the building are located on the side of the station square.

The space in front of the entrances is organized with a cantilever canopy – 12 meters. The operations hall, 15 meters high, is located on the part of the first floor facing the station square with parking. On the first floor, on the side of the airfield, there is a hall for arriving passengers of international flights, baggage sorting rooms, and a number of service rooms. The height of the rooms in this part of the building is 4.2 meters. The second floor houses offices, service rooms, access to which is provided via stairs. On the side of the airport, there are halls for passengers of transit flights and halls for arriving international and domestic flights, access to which is provided via telescopic gangways. Connection with the arrival hall on the first floor is provided via escalators. Departing passengers are accommodated on the third floor.

The project includes a basement floor with technical rooms and rooms for heating and cooling equipment.

Passenger access to the airport terminal is through 4 entrance gates.

Ticket purchases are provided for in the hall through ticketing terminals. The baggage of departing passengers is checked in at registration counters and transported by 2 baggage conveyors to the baggage handling area for loading into containers. Baggage control points are provided along the baggage route in the loading area.

The first-floor passenger hall is equipped with buffet areas, non-food stores, and restrooms for passengers.

Arrival halls with baggage claim areas are provided on the first floor for international and domestic flights. The arrival hall for international passengers is equipped with passport and customs control points.

After check-in, departing passengers ascend to the third floor via escalators, stairs, and elevators and enter the halls for international and domestic flights. For international flight passengers, passport, customs, and aviation control points are provided on the third floor, along with necessary service rooms. For domestic flight passengers, aviation security control points are provided. After passing through the required control services, passengers of domestic and international flights enter designated waiting halls. The halls include duty-free shops, cafes, restrooms, and service areas. Elevators installed in the waiting halls for domestic and international flight departures are provided for the convenience of disabled passengers.
