The project involves the reconstruction of the existing airport terminal building into a high-comfort terminal (VIP terminal) and the improvement of the adjacent territory with the organization of parking lots for terminal passengers. This volume presents conceptual solutions for the reconstruction of the existing terminal into a high-comfort terminal (VIP terminal). The current terminal building is not classified as an architectural monument. The land plot is leased according to the decision of the Lviv City Council, and the technical passport of the building is CityBTI No. 1046.

The footprint area of the designed VIP terminal is 0.2129 hectares, with building dimensions of 25 meters by 112 meters and a height of 32 meters to the spire.

The terminal building is a dominant feature in the composition, enclosing the spatial axis of Lublinska Street, and is the most socially significant object with a large, static volume. This approach is also maintained in the newly formed composition.

The project includes a complex of works to repair the facades and public interiors of the building. The interiors of office spaces are planned to be developed based on the preferences of airline representations.

Facade repair works include the following:

– Removal of late layers of plaster and paints from the plaster layers of the building, details, and decorative elements;
– Restoration of damaged areas of plaster;
– Restoration of lost elements of facades;
– Replacement of facade elements installed during restoration works in 1999, which are damaged;
– Replacement of the main entrance stained glass; elimination of expansion to the floor level of the two-window openings of the double-light halls of the right and left wings of the building;
– Replacement of windows.

The restoration of details and elements of facades is carried out based on actual measurements, archival documents, and historical photographs.

Interiors are planned to be restored as close as possible to their original appearance. Specialized specialists who have positively proven themselves in similar works will be involved in the design and restoration works for specific elements of the interiors and facades of the object.
